Cowboys' season of discontent hits new low with Romo's clavicle injury

Louis Murphy re-injured his clavicle in the Raiders' Week 7 rout of Denver -- an injury that's plagued him since Week 3.

The Raiders have let Murphy play through the injury, and he's been almost a complete non-factor with six catches for 99 yards combined in his last four games. Murphy might be allowed to continue to play hurt against Seattle in Week 8, but he'll need to be on fantasy benches until he shows he's healthy.

“We don’t know that yet and that’s kind of what the issue is,” Tom Cable said when asked about the nature of Murphy’s injury. “Something going on the chest area, looks to be like a contusion, but how severe it is and how much it limits him is really the question.”

The Giants' offensive line may be the most athletic and prolific in the league. It's rare when offensive linemen at any level legitimately make the highlight reels, but the Giants' O-line deserves at least three highlights from Monday's romp. As the Giants were making their comeback in the second-quarter, Rich Seubert twice cleared the way for running backs Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. But that was nothing compared to the pancakes Chris Snee was passing out, including the break-out block on Mario Manningham's game-breaking third-quarter touchdown. Snee absolutely pancaked Cowboys linebacker Bradie James to set Manningham free.
